Everyone who currently plays or still has an active account with Champions Online needs to read the latest build they are releasing tomorrow. Between the new specialization tree and costume drops / unlocks, the game looks like it's getting even better. The Alerts system alone will add some more game play with grouping.

Role:Avenger
You deal good damage from a distance, but are weak in melee combat and can take less damage than other roles can.

Concepts:
Toxic Mutant, Demonic Gift, Ancient Curse, Nightmare Creature, Remorseful Demon

Archetype Description:
Many of your powers poison your foes, and your strength increases as your poisons wither them away. Your pestilent clouds will weaken your foes as your press the attack, and you'll have some ability to hinder your opponents mobility.

New Comic Series

The new comic series Whiteout has just started. It will span 5 issues, one issue each week which are re-playable starting at lvl 11 all the way to 40. There are special item drops and the contact for the mission is Defender at Millennium City. Have a go it as it was long awaited and seems fun. Looking forward to running it with all of you on CO. Just a heads up... the new comic series seems to be bugged and when u try loading into the instance you end up crashing. I have tried to find any news on the forums but seems like nothing new has come out. So for now do not attempt to pick up the mission or loading into the new Comic Series as you will have problems logging in with that specific toon. The game keeps on crashing from that point on. More updates to follow when I find something new to post. Till then do something else... :)

Ok. so Here's the update... In order not to crash when trying to play the new Comic Series (Whiteout: Snowcrash) I guess they new what they were talking about when they named it. On the client window you need to go to Options-> and check the disable on demand patch option. Then click ok and start the client. Hopefully that helps out, when I tried it I was able to play the mission without problems.
